The Bulls watched the trade deadline come and go and they didn't pull the trigger on a deal. To be fair, we don't know what was on the table. Chances are, the Bulls would have had to lose a key piece of the puzzle to get any value in return.
To be sure, the Bulls could use more scoring help, especially in the low post. We saw what happened last year when the team just kept dumping the ball in Derrick Rose's hands. He's great, but he's just one guy.
And the Bulls should take heart that they've played well without their MVP. They even beat the Heat when Wade and LeBron had big nights. As long as the supporting cast is learning to step up, the Bulls may not need a trade.
They just need a few lucky breaks.
