Bulls' Derrick Rose to Undergo Surgery Wednesday After Injury

Derrick Rose will undergo surgery Wednesday after suffering a left orbital fracture during the team’s first practice of the season Tuesday.

The Bulls guard was hit in the face by an elbow during practice and was taken to Rush University Medical Center for testing and evaluation, the team said in a release.

Rose underwent a consultation with several specialists and it was decided he would undergo surgery Wednesday at the hospital.

It is not clear how long Rose will be out for the injury.
