Blackhawks' Average Ticket Price Down 13% from Last Year

The Chicago Blackhawks have been rocking the Madhouse on Madison in recent years, with the team’s success leading to huge increases in season ticket and single game ticket sales.

That interest in the team has obviously come with some consequences for fans, as ticket prices have steadily increased over the years. The Blackhawks are currently the third-most expensive ticket in the NHL according to TiqIQ, with the average seat in the building costing $275.65. That trails only the Toronto Maple Leafs ($373.50) and the Vancouver Canucks ($282.58) in terms of the amount of money that fans drop on tickets.

Oddly enough though, the ticket price for the Blackhawks is actually down significantly from last season. According to the website, the Blackhawks’ average ticket price has gone down 13.03 percent so far this year, with the average price dropping from last year’s staggering $316.94.

That drop was probably to be expected considering that last year’s team was coming off a Stanley Cup-winning campaign, but it’s still interesting to see the number go down that much.
