Baez, Lindor Share Fun Moment During Game 1 of World Series

Cleveland Indians infielder Francisco Lindor and Chicago Cubs infielder Javier Baez share plenty of connections, but the two young stars shared a funny moment during Game 1 of the World Series

It’s always neat when former high school rivals get to play against each other on baseball’s biggest stages, and that’s exactly what Cleveland Indians infielder Francisco Lindor and Chicago Cubs infielder Javier Baez got to do on Tuesday night in Game 1 of the World Series.

The two players were both born in Puerto Rico and grew up to be high school rivals during their careers in Florida, and they were taken with back-to-back picks in the 2011 MLB Amateur Draft, with Lindor going eighth to the Indians and Baez going ninth to the Cubs.

The players even got to experience a unique moment in Game 1 of the World Series. After Lindor hit a double during the contest, Baez caught sight of the Indians shortstop’s luxurious hairstyle, and he decided that he needed to take a closer look:

Lindor didn’t look like he enjoyed the exchange all too much, but he got a very serious last laugh as the Indians shutout the Cubs 6-0 and took a 1-0 lead in the World Series.
