Gov. Mark Sanford is toeing the ethical line -- again.

Oops -- Sanford did it again.

The bumbling South Carolina governor with a wandering eye has been busted for another misstep -- this time, for secret joyrides he took on private planes without disclosing who paid for the travel.

Gov. Mark Sanford neglected to list 35 flights he took on state ethics forms or campaign reports, violating a state law that requires elected officials like Sanford to disclose gifts worth over $25, the Associated Press reported. 

Sanford's spokesman Ben Fox said the governor's flights were paid for by long-time friends or political groups and that taking the flights followed "standard operating procedure."

But state ethics officials didn't buy Fox's claim. The flights "need to be disclosed somewhere," the state Ethics Commission's general counsel Cathy L. Hazelwood told the AP.
