Condoleezza Rice to Headline Kinzinger Fundraiser

The former secretary of state will appear Nov. 15 at Bolingbrook Golf Club with her new book

Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will headline a breakfast fundraiser for Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger (11th), his campaign announced Tuesday.

Kinzinger said he will run for re-election either in the 16th congressional district or the redrawn 11th depending on map redistricting.

"If the Democratic map prevails in court under the redistricting process, I will run in the new 16th District," Kinzinger said in a statement. "If it’s the Republican map, I will run in the 11th District."

That decision could come in November, right around the time Rice will appear at his Nov. 15 breakfast fundraiser at Bolingbrook Golf Club, 2001 Rodeo Dr., in Bolingbrook. A VIP photo-op is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. and breakfast from 9 a.m.-10 a.m.

Individual tickets plus an autographed copy of Rice's new book, “No Higher Honor: A Memoir of My Years in Washington," are $250, according to Kinzinger's campaign. The event with a photo-op is $1,000 and table sponsorship is $2,500.

"Dr. Rice’s personal success is an inspiration to every American regardless of their circumstances," Kinzinger's campaign wrote in the invitation.

Fundraiser tickets are available at his website.
