Bob Schillerstrom, current Chairman of the DuPage County Board, presides over the municipal needs of nearly one million residents. Before being elected chairman, he served as a DuPage County Board member, Forest Preserve Commissioner and member of the County Regional Planning Commissioner.
According to his campaign site, Schillerstrom played baseball for Naperville High School, Illinois college, and later went on to become semi-pro as a pitcher. He graduated from Illinois college in Jacksonville, Ill., with a Bachelor's degree in Religion and History. He began his career at the DuPage County State's Attorney's Office after graduating from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago-Kent College of Law.
Schillerstrom is an advocate for economic development, adding 24 miles in recreational trails and thousands of acres for DuPage residents. As Chairman, he has cut property taxes, reduced his county's budget and expanded economic development to the state.
