The husband of a Southern California high school teacher accused of having sex with five students came to her defense Thursday, just days after she was charged with 16 felony counts.
"The truth will come out some way, somehow," said Sean Hansen as he walked hand-in-hand with his wife, Summer Michelle Hansen, outside a Riverside County courthouse on the day of her arraignment.
"Our faith is getting us through it," he added.
The 31-year-old special education teacher at Centennial High School in Corona appeared in court, but did not enter a plea due to a prosecutor's scheduling conflict. The arraignment was postponed until Sept. 12.
Hansen was charged Tuesday with having sex with five students and sending the boys sexual text messages and nude photographs of herself. She allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse and oral sex with the boys on campus and at one victim's home as far back as May 2012.
All five boys were students at the school, but none were Hansen's students, according to district attorney's spokesman John Hall.
After Hansen's brief appearance in court Thursday, her attorney, David R. Cohn, spoke about the evidence against her, which includes nude pictures of herself that the accusers claim she sent from her cellphone.

Cohn called the case a "witch hunt" and said Hansen's phone was hacked, and he also implied that the accusers may be involved in a conspiracy against her.
Parents of her students have come to her defense.
Centennial's principal first reported the case to police on June 16, according to a search warrant affidavit.
After the allegations surfaced, the school district placed Hansen on administrative leave. Police launched an investigation that led to Hansen's arrest on June 20. She posted a $150,000 bond the next day.
Hansen faces up to 13 years in prison if convicted.
