Police are investigating whether recent heists from armored trucks in Brooklyn and the Bronx were inside jobs.

Thieves stole nearly $1 million cash from trucks belonging to the Rapid Armored Corporation in the Bronx on July 30 and on Aug. 22 in Brooklyn. Police haven't linked the two cases but are looking into whether workers assisted in the thefts.

The company couldn't be reached for comment after business hours Wednesday.

In the first heist, a thief hopped into an idling, unoccupied truck near East Fordham Road in the Kingsbridge Neighborhood.

The man was caught on surveillance footage stuffing cash in a red sack. Once the sack was filled to the brim with $419,000, he got into a silver getaway car.

Witnesses saw the whole thing, and picked up some of the cash the thief took. Still, police haven't found the man.

"The police was out here and there was two armored trucks out here, and the police was all up and down the block," said Shayhid Carter, who saw the scene. "They had the whole street blocked off."

On Aug. 22 in Williamsburg, a robber allegedly hopped into an armored truck from the same company and made off with $500,000 in broad daylight.

The truck's driver told police that the masked robber stuck a gun to his head, but investigators said the driver's behavior was suspicious.

The driver took an FBI polygraph test but the agency wouldn't comment on the case.

The armored truck company was also robbed in the Bronx in 2011.

Anyone with information is asked to contact NYPD Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
