The New Jersey legislative investigation into huge traffic jams near the George Washington Bridge that appear to have been politically motivated is likely to continue uninterrupted.

Incoming Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto says he will convene a special session after the chamber's reorganization on Thursday to vote on extending the Transportation Committee's investigation.

Prieto says he's taking the unusual step of scheduling a vote on a day usually reserved for ceremony because many unanswered questions remain about the traffic jam scandal.
