A Goldman Sachs investment banker accused of following a woman into a Hamptons beach house bathroom and raping her was arraigned Friday on a grand jury indictment.

Jason Lee, 37, was arrested last month at an East Hampton home that he and his wife had rented. He has pleaded not guilty.

Prosecutors say the 20-year-old woman from Ireland met Lee at a nightclub that night, where he was celebrating his birthday and bought her and her friends drinks. Later, the woman, her brother and some friends were invited back to his rental home, she told detectives.

She said Lee tried to follow her into a bathroom, naked. As she tried to close the door, he forced it open and caused her to fall to the floor, where he pinned her down and raped her, she told police.

She eventually kneed him in the groin, and ran from the bathroom, prosecutors said. She later was found to have injuries consistent with rape, according to prosecutors.

After police were called to the house, they could not find Lee, and eventually located him hiding in the back seat of his car, prosecutors said.

Lee, who lives in Manhattan, is on a leave of absence as a managing director in Goldman Sachs' equity capital markets department. He posted $100,000 bail Friday.

His attorney said Friday there was a rush to arrest and a rush to indict. The sex, he said, was consensual.

Lee, he said, is "adamant that he did not do this."
