Clinton Aide: Trump Is Out of Touch With African Americans

A top Hillary Clinton campaign official responded to Donald Trump's call for African-Americans to vote for him by accusing the businessman as indifferent to the support of white supremacists and referring to Trump's past questioning of President Barack Obama's birthplace.

At a Michigan rally Friday, Trump cited what he called high unemployment and poor schools to argue that Democrats have failed them. "To those hurting, I say: What do you have to lose by trying something new like Trump?" the Republican nominee said, NBC News reported.

Hillary for America Director of State Campaigns and Political Engagement Marlon Marshall hit back Friday.

"Trump painting the entire community as living in poverty with no jobs continues to show he is completely out of touch with the African American community," he said.
