Seven members of the U.K.'s Royal Marines have been arrested on suspicion of murder in connection with a 2011 incident in Afghanistan, the U.K.'s Ministry of Defense said Thursday. The identities of the Marines have not been revealed nor have any details about the incident beyond a brief statement from the Defense Ministry. "The incident followed an engagement with an insurgent: there were no civilians involved. The investigation will now be taken forward adn dealt with by the Service Justice system." The statement added that the arrests demonstrated the Armed Forces' and Department's "determination to ensure UK personnel act in accordance with their Rules of Engagement and our standards."
