600 Pumpkins Vanish from Long Island Farm

The theft was reported Monday at Rottkamp's Fox Hollow Farm in Calverton

Police on the eastern end of Long Island are investigating the theft of more than 600 pumpkins from a farm in Calverton.
 
Newsday reports that the theft was reported Monday at Rottkamp's Fox Hollow Farm.
 
Riverhead Town police are investigating.
 
Police say the pumpkins were worth about $4,200.

The 250-acre farm has been owned by the Rottkamp family since 1967.
