Fast Food Workers Strike in 150 Cities

On Thursday morning, fast food workers walked off their jobs in dozens of U.S. cities in the latest national protest to raise hourly pay in the industry to $15 and to win the right to form a union, NBC News reported. Protesters took to the streets in Chicago, Hartford, Los Angeles, New York, Oakland, San Diego, and many other cities. Most labor experts agree the walkouts probably won't cause immediate reform, but past strikes appear to have forced lawmakers and the public to pay attention to the struggles of low wage workers.
