1 Dead as Tornadoes Sweep Nebraska

Multiple tornadoes devastated northeast Nebraska Monday, killing one and critically injuring at least 16. The Nebraska Emergency Management Agency said crews were on the ground in the town of Pilger where more than half of the town was leveled, and in the nearby communities of Wisner and Stanton searching for possible further victims trapped under debris. The tornadoes touched down simultaneously a mile apart about 4 p.m. local time, with one of them skipping along the ground for almost an hour, the National Weather Service said.
