Both officers were taken to a local hospital but later released.

Patterson is expected to appear in felony bond court Wednesday morning for Tuesday's incident before he appears at a sentencing hearing at a later date for his initial charge of felony child abuse.

Patterson was released by the Jets in 2014 after he allegedly left the team for two days and skipped a preseason game.
