Puppets Welcome NATO to Chicago

YouTube users re-imagine 1978's YMCA from the Village People

Feeling down about the upcoming NATO Summit and how it's going to muck up your weekend?
How about a party song and puppets to help you feel better?

No, seriously.

Using a 1978 tune from the Village People that also has just four letters, YouTube users calling themselves Squirehogg and Sillypuppetdude have created a 94 second video and tune that just might get stuck in your head.

With vocals by Derrick Procell, various puppets dance and prance in front of images of Chicago, NATO armed forces and various world leaders.

"When the meetings are through, deep dish pizza for you
We'll eat hot dogs and drink lots of booze."

There doesn't seem to be, however, a specific dance that goes with N-A-T-O, so you and your friends will have to figure that one out.

Squirehogg and Sillypuppetdude have several other parodies and puppet-oriented videos on their channels. Check 'em out.

NATO! Heads of state gather 'round.
I said, 'NATO!" Welcome, you, to Chi-town.
I mean, 'NATO!" Home of Bozo the Clown
It's the city of broad shoulders.

NATO. Welcome to Chicago.
I said, NATO, Many places to go.
I'm talking NATO. Where I'm sure you will find...
.. many ways to have a good time.

Let's have a summit now N-A-T-O
