Yang's Online Personas Show Confidence, Loneliness

The woman accused of killing the pregnant girlfriend of a former Chicago Bear in a fit of jealousy described herself online as the "consummate professional" and "an open book."

Details about Marni Yang continue to emerge since her arrest Tuesday over the shooting death of Rhoni Reuter.

Yang and her entire family once trained in Karate at a Glenview Dojo some 20 years ago. She was a good student and earned her black belt in a matter of years.

But things later took a turn.

Documents uncovered from 2002 show that she had an order of protection against her former husband. She'd been seeking protection for herself and her three children, telling county officials that on at least one occassion, Yen Yang had threatened all of them.

It asks for "no contact by any means, including through a third party."

More recently, Yang's picture has been seen all over dating and professional Web sites such as ZoomInfo.com and LinkedIn.com. In profiles, she calls herself "aggressive, sophisticated and knowledgeable." She says her "loyalty, determination and superior negotiating skills have propelled (her) to the forefront of the Chicago real estate market."

One profile describers her as "the consummate professional."

On Reunion.com, she's characterized as "refined and provocative."

"I am an independent, professional business woman looking to meet other like-minded professionals," she wrote.

And on fitness-singles.com:

"Guys, I will not respond to e-mails and will promply delete messages if your profile shows pictures of you with other women. I am not looking for a party animal or a player. You need to consider how you appear to others and the message that sends to any potentially interested female,"

On another site, Yang calls herself "an open book to the right person who has earned my trust."

"I just want to spend time with someone fun who enjoys my company, can value the person that I am, recognize what I have to offer and has no hidden agendas," she continues.
