Ground Broken on New Community Center

    Illinois' Secretary of State on Wednesday broke ground on a new Chicago community center.

    The Jesse White Community Center will be built at 412 West Chicago Avenue, on the city's near northwest side, and will offer both educational and recreational activities.

    It will house a state-of-the-art gym as well as computer labs and meeting rooms.

    The center will also become the new permanent home for the Jesse White Tumbling Team.

    The facility is being built by the Jesse White Foundation, as well as the city and the Chicago Park District.
