Suburban Teen Faces Murder Charges After Fatal Shooting

The shooting took place Friday night

A 15-year-old boy is facing first degree murder charges after he allegedly shot and killed another teen in suburban Waukegan.

The boy, who has not been identified by authorities because of his age, allegedly shot two people at the intersection of Genessee and Clayton on Friday night, according to authorities.

One of the victims, 19-year-old Daiyon Bolden, was taken to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries. Another victim, a Beach Park man, was taken to another hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was taken into custody at the scene of the shooting. He has been charged with first degree murder and aggravated battery with a firearm, and is currently being held at a juvenile detention center in Vernon Hills.

Authorities say that the shooting likely stems from an on-going feud between the individuals involved.
