Albert Almora's Insane Catches, Big Announcement Make for Memorable Sunday

Sunday was only a regular season game, but for Chicago Cubs outfielder Albert Almora Jr., it was a day that he will never forget.

The day started out with some massive news off the field, as his wife Krystal announced that the couple is expecting a baby boy:

The baby is due on October 30, according to Almora’s Instagram account.

As if that wasn’t big enough news, Almora also had a whale of a game against the Colorado Rockies at Coors Field. Almora went 1-for-6 at the plate with an RBI, but more importantly, he made two of the best catches you’ll ever see by a center fielder:

In the first inning, Almora robbed Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado with an insane diving catch, and then in the ninth inning of the game, he struck again, crashing into the wall after robbing Charlie Blackmon of extra bases.

The Cubs ultimately won 9-7, and Almora will have a day off before the Cubs kick off a World Series rematch with the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field.
