Unrein, Massie Out for Bears vs. Giants Sunday

The Chicago Bears will be without a trio of their players in their lineup for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants, as Mitch Unrein, Bobby Massie, and Deiondre’ Hall all did not make the trip to the Big Apple with the team Saturday.

All three players were listed as doubtful on the Bears’ injury report on Friday, and it’s now official that all three won’t be on the field vs. the Giants. Massie will miss the game with a concussion, and Unrein will be out with a back injury as the Bears try to get their third win of the regular season.

With all three players now listed as out, the attention turns to which players will start in their place on Sunday afternoon at Metlife Stadium. With Massie out of the mix at right tackle, Mike Adams will likely get the start there as the Bears’ offensive line deals with the loss of Kyle Long and a hobbled Josh Sitton on Sunday.

Hall’s absence will be slightly easier to absorb, but the Bears’ defensive line is definitely going to be short on healthy bodies for the game Sunday thanks to Unrein’s injury. C.J. Wilson will likely see playing time, but another player could as well as the Bears signed Jimmy Staten to their active roster on Saturday afternoon.
