Dennis Houston, 43, of the 3S500 block of Bliss Road in Sugar Grove, Ill. was apprehended in his home without incident last Thursday morning by special agents of the Chicago office of the FBI’s Innocent Images Task Force according to a police statement.
A man Chicago area man has been charged with transporting child pornography.
Houston, prosecutors say, shared several photos and a video depicting child pornography with an undercover agent on a peer-to-peer file-sharing network back in February.
Investigators were able to track the files to Houston's computer address, they said.
A subsequent search of Houston's home turned up several of those same images and roughly 1,300 others, the FBI said.
If convicted, Houston faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years to a maximum of 20 years in prison. He's been ordered held without bond until his next court appearance on June 12.
