Oak Brook Police Chief Wants Drew's Son Fired

Drew Peterson's oldest son could soon be out of a job.

Oak Brook Police Chief Thomas Sheahan wants Stephen Peterson off the force for hiding his father's guns during the Stacy Peterson investigation, the Chicago Tribune reported, citing an attorney.

Sheahan is seeking to suspend the officer without pay, pending his disciplinary hearing.

Stephen Peterson was suspended two months ago after testifying that he hid several guns in his home for his father after Stacy Peterson disappeared in 2007.

One of the weapons was an AR-15 assault rifle.

Earlier this month, and for the second time, a Will County judge dropped the felony gun charges against Drew Peterson, indicating that he was allowed to own the rifle, which is illegal in the state, because he was a police officer.

Drew Peterson is currently being held in the Will County Jail on $20 million bail on charges he killed his third wife, Kathleen Savio
