Sketch, Description Released in Dearborn Park Assault

Man sexually assaulted woman, robbed her husband at gunpoint, police say

Chicago police on Tuesday evening released a description and the sketch of a man wanted in connection with a sexual assault and robbery from last week.

A woman reported to police that she was approached by a man with a gun as she got out of her car, on the 1400 block of South Clark Street, around 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 9. She was forced into the back of her car and assaulted, she said.

Her attacker then stole her keys, went to her home and robbed her husband and gunpoint, police said.

Police said Tuesday they're looking for a black man between 30 and 33 years old. He stood between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighed between 165 and 185 pounds. He had black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion, police said.

The attacker was last seen wearing a black and red-trimmed ski cap and a dark colored sweater.

Anyone with information on the identity of the man in the sketch should contact Chicago police at 312-747-8380.

Residents told NBC Chicago they've been asking for more security in the neighborhood for some time.
