Hold on to your fedoras, kids.

A wind advisory is in effect across Chicago today from 10 a.m. through 7 p.m., with the National Weather Service warning of northwest winds hitting 35 m.p.h, with some gusts up to 50.

The warning covers north central Illinois, northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

Driving will be more difficult, and structural damage could occur with winds over 45 m.p.h.
