‘Very Unsafe': Cash Reward Offered in Hunt For Rogers Park Killer

Two apparently random killings with no obvious motive have gripped the North Side neighborhood of Rogers Park with fear.

More than 100 people gathered in front of police again Thursday night seeking answers and reassurance.

"We have hours and hours of video we have detectives reviewing that video full-time," said Chicago police First Deputy Anthony Riccio.

Forty detectives are working around the clock to find this suspect.

He is described as a tall, dark complexion black man wearing a mask and walking with his feet toeing out.

Police have reason to believe he's terrorizing his own neighborhood.

"There is no vehicle seen in any of these shootings," Riccio said. "And the proximity to these shootings, we see him fleeing a couple blocks on foot."

Neighbors are rattled, hoping police catch the shooter before he ends another innocent life.

"I feel it is very unsafe," neighbor Ruchama Rabinowitz said. "I will not walk ... in the evening anymore."

A $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading the arrest of the killer.
