A 13-year-old boy was in critical condition Monday night after a shooting in the Rogers Park neighborhood that also left an adult wounded, police officials said.

The teen was shot in the chest on the 6800 block of North Ashland Avenue and a 20-year-old was shot in the shoulder.

Paramedics responded about 7:30 p.m.

The 13-year-old was taken in critical condition to University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital and the 20-year-old man was taken to good-to-fair condition to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston.

Police could not immediately provide further details. The shooting is still under investigation.
