Super snout Rambo, the customs K-9 pooch already known for sniffing out poppies at O'Hare, has done it again -- this time finding more than four kilos of the heroin base Thursday night, according to a U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer.
While screening arriving international mail, the nose that knows sussed that a parcel labeled "Hmong Traditional Tea" wasn't what it appeared to be.
Inside: 43 plastic bags containing wood twigs and dried leaves that had been saturated with an unknown substance, which field tested positive for the presence of opiates.
The parcel was shipped from Laos and destined for Minneapolis.
The seizure is the fourth in 15 days for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection unit. Over 11 kilos have been seized.
