Plane Slides Off Runway at O'Hare Airport

A plane slid off the runway at O’Hare International Airport early Sunday.

Around 1:10 a.m., United Airlines flight No. 441 from Orlando International Airport slid off the runway after landing at O’Hare, Chicago Police and the airline confirmed.

When the plane turned to taxi, one of the tires went off the pavement, according to a spokesperson for United Airlines. No injuries were reported and passengers were then bused to the terminal.

As of Sunday morning, 3.4 inches of snow had fallen at O'Hare Airport over the course of two days, according to the National Weather Service.

Several hundred flights were canceled at both O'Hare and Midway airports in Chicago throughout the weekend, with 173 and 28 flights canceled at each respectively by Sunday morning.
