‘Parks and Rec': Chicago Bar to Transform Into Pawnee Department of Parks and Recreation for Themed Pop-Up Next Week

A Chicago bar has announced plans for a “Parks and Recreation”-themed pop-up, bringing Pawnee from Indiana to the North Side of the city next weekend

If you’re looking to treat yo self, next week might be just what you need.

A Chicago bar has announced plans for a “Parks and Recreation”-themed pop-up, bringing Pawnee from Indiana to the North Side of the city beginning next weekend.

Replay Lincoln Park said the pop-up, which runs through Oct. 20, will feature iconic locations from the show, “including the Shoe Shine Stand, Li’l Sebastian’s Stable, Eagleton Fence, the Pit, the World’s Smallest Park, and (of course) the Pawnee Department of Parks and Recreation!”

Themed events at the pop-up include The Harvest Festival, a Mouserat concert and a “Treat Yo Self night.”

Food will include a menu inspired by The Glitter Factory’s breakfast buffet, JJ’s diner and Sweetums.

“So come on down to Pawnee, and remember the immortal words of Amy Poehler: ‘We need to remember what's important in life: friends, waffles, work or waffles, friends, work - it doesn’t matter, but work is third,’” the bar wrote on Facebook.
