Off-Duty Cop Injured in Logan Square Crash

The officer was taken to an area hospital with a head injury

An off-duty Chicago police officer was injured in a crash with another vehicle in the city’s Logan Square neighborhood on Saturday morning.

According to police, the officer was driving north on Kedzie when his vehicle collided with a Pontiac sedan, driven by a 25-year-old man, that was traveling west on Diversey.

The police officer was taken to an area hospital with a head injury, and was listed in stable condition, according to authorities.

The other driver was taken to Norwegian hospital in stable condition with neck, upper, and lower body pain. Another passenger in the vehicle refused medical treatment at the scene of the accident.

There is no further information about citations or the identities of the drivers involved.
