Northwestern Announces Its Big Ten Title Game Tickets Sold Out in 48 Hours

The Wildcats were given 10,000 tickets, which sold out in just 48 hours

Northwestern football fans are excited for the team’s first ever appearance in the Big Ten Championship Game, and they have already blown through the team’s entire allotment of tickets to the contest.

According to the school, Northwestern’s allotment of 10,000 tickets sold out within 48 hours after they were made available to Wildcats season ticket holders and students.

The Wildcats punched their ticket to the title game last week when they defeated Iowa. That victory wrapped up the West Division title, and set up a showdown with the winner of the Eastern Division, which has yet to be determinted.

Limited tickets are still available on Ticketmaster, but are selling fast, the school said.

The school had revealed earlier in the week that the Department of Athletics and Recreation would provide tickets and travel to students who wanted to travel to the game to support the team, and over 3,400 students are taking advantage of that offer.

The game will take place on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
