Cops Investigating Death of Northwestern Student: University

A junior at Northwestern University died over the weekend, the school’s dean of students said Monday.

Kenzie Krogh, a School of Education and Social Policy student from North Carolina died sometime over the weekend, Todd Adams said in a statement.

“Kenzie was involved in a number of campus organizations, from Greek life to club sports, and worked closely with the Kellogg School of Management,” he said. “Including serving as teaching assistant for a course taught by Kellogg faculty. Information about community gatherings and services will be shared as it becomes available.

The cause of death had not been determined, Adams said, and the Evanston Police Department was investigating.

Police did not immediately respond to request for comment Monday evening.

It was unclear if Krogh died on campus or where her body was found.

Counselors were made available to students on campus.

“We extend our deepest condolences to Kenzie’s family and friends,” Adams said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office was not immediately available to confirm Krogh’s death or offer details.
