Body Shop Owner's Death Confirmed a Homicide

The Will County Corner’s Office confirmed that the death of an Orland Park businessman was a homicide.

The body of 28-year-old Ibrahim Nofal was found Saturday at Pilcher Park in Joliet. Police have not yet released a cause of death. the location of the murder is also unknown.

Police suspect Nofal, a Lockport resident, was abducted from his Lightning Auto business on July 13.

Video footage shows a gray Jeep Grand Cherokee leaving the business around 6:30 p.m. the day he disappeared. Police suspect that Nofal was one of the three men spotted inside the Jeep.

Nofal’s family does not know of anyone that might want to cause harm to the 28-year old, father of two, who moved to this country close to 15 years ago from the West Bank for a better life.

They are offering a $50,000 thousand dollar reward for any information leading up to the arrest of  Nofal’s killer.
