A man is in serious condition after being stabbed in the neck on the Near North Side on Wednesday evening.
The man was apparently stabbed about 5 p.m. near West Chicago Avenue and Rush Street, police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said.
He suffered an apparent stab wound to the neck and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition, police said.
Unconfirmed dispatch reports indicated someone may have taken a cell phone image of the attacker and police were using the photo in hopes of finding him.
