Police Search for Women Suspected of Beating, Robbery in Suburban Naperville

Police are asking for the public's help in finding two women suspected of beating another woman and stealing her purse at a business in suburban Naperville.

Officers responded to 1620 Pebblewood Lane for an unknown problem around 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, according to a statement from Naperville Police.

Upon arrival, officers learned that two women had walked into a business and taken another woman's purse. When the victim attempted to stop the theft, police said she was battered and the suspects fled with her purse.

The women left in a late model silver Nissan SUV and were last seen at the intersection of Diehl Rd and Route 59, according to police.

The suspects were described as two black woman in their 20s, both with black hair. One stands at 5'6" and was wearing black-framed glasses, a gray winter coat and jeans. The other is 5'4" and was wearing a large blue winter coat and dark-colored jeans.

The victim was not injured, authorities said, and did not require medical attention.
