UPDATE: Police issued a statement just before 5:30 p.m. indicating that Walton had been found in good health and was reunited with his family.  No other details were released.

A search continued Saturday for a missing retired Chicago police sergeant with cancer and severe dementia.

Eldge Walton, 74, was last seen leaving his south side home on Friday, authorities said.

He was wearing a blue Chicago police uniform coat with a turquoise-colored sweater underneath.  He also had a blue White Sox cap and white and blue gym shoes.

Walton stands about six feet tall and weighs about 160 pounds, authorities said.
