Men Shot While Wrestling With Gun Inside Chicago Apartment: Police

Two people were shot as they wrestled with a gun inside a home on Chicago's Southwest Side early Sunday, according to police.

The incident occurred around 2:04 a.m. inside an apartment in the 4500 block of S. Karlov Ave. in the city's Archer Heights neighborhood, officials said.

Authorities said two men, ages 21 and 46, were wrestling with the weapon when it discharged, striking them.

The younger man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the right arm and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in stable condition, according to police.

The 46-year-old man was shot in the chest and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

It was not immediately clear if any charges would be filed, and authorities continue to investigate.
