Chicago Teen Drowns in Kentucky

A senior from St. Ignatius College Prep drowned Tuesday while on a service trip in Kentucky.

Lukose Finoy was swimming with several people in a creek in Lewis County, Ky., when he went under and failed to come back up.  His body was found about three hours later, according to a report in The Ledger Independent.

"Finoy was an immensely popular student and classmate who participated in Student Congress, Club ASIA (Alliance of Saint Ignatius Asians), Respect Life and Volleyball during his time at Saint Ignatius College Prep.," read a statement on the school's website.

Finoy is survived by his parents, Philip and Dolly Lukose.

Funeral arrangements have not yet been made.
