Shooting Leads to Police Chase, Crash in Logan Square

No charges were filed as 5 a.m.

Two people were in custody early Tuesday after a brief police chase in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood.

The chase started just before 2 a.m. when police said they saw someone shoot from one car to another near North Kimball and West Fullerton avenues. The vehicle from where the gunfire came then sped off at a "high speed" and hit several parked cars nearby, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

A male and female were taken to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center with minor injuries and were taken into custody. A weapon was recovered, Greer said.

No charges were filed as 5 a.m. and no other injuries were reported.
