Brick-By-Brick: Chicago's Skyline Gets LEGO Treatment

Chicago’s unmistakable skyline wasn't built in a day—but you can give it a try with LEGO's newest architectural addition.

The popular toy company, known for its plastic brick building sets, announced it would be releasing a miniature version of some of the Second City’s most notable buildings.

“The LEGO Architecture Skyline series has taken on Chicago’s most iconic buildings and even included some of the city’s most popular visitor’s attractions," according to a statement from LEGO.

The Chicago Skyline set will retail for $39.99 and includes 444 pieces, Arboleda said. It will only be available in three stores on Dec. 11: the Chicago Architecture Foundation, the LEGO Store Water Tower Place, and LEGOLAND Discovery Center in Schaumberg.

Included in the skyline set are the CAN Tower, Willis Tower, Wrigley Building, John Hancock Center, Cloud Gate(the Bean) and Michigan Avenue Bridge.

The set is slated to hit shelves nationwide in January.
