A Kankakee woman won $650,000 last month playing an Illinois Lottery Quick Pick ticket.
Doris Schnell matched all five numbers in the May 18 Quick Day Lotto midday drawing, according to the Illinois Lottery.
Schnell, who regularly buys a Quick Pick ticket, discovered she won the prize after checking the winning numbers on the Illinois Lottery website.
"I read the numbers on my ticket over and over because I thought for sure I was making a mistake," Schnell said.
She plans to use the windfall to pay bills, invest and buy a new dishwasher, the lottery said.
"My advice to other lottery players is to believe that you really can win," Schnell added. "Anything’s possible!"
The winning ticket was purchased at Wee-Sip Liquors, 1099 S. Water St. in Wilmington, the lottery said.

The retailer received a bonus of $6,500, or one percent of the prize amount, for selling the winning ticket.
