Police in south suburban Kankakee are looking for a hit-and-run driver that seriously injured an 11-year-old child on Friday morning.
The incident occurred in the 600 block of North Chicago Avenue just after 11 a.m., police said. The vehicle, a royal blue four-door sedan with dark-tinted windows, struck the child and fled the scene, police said.
The child was airlifted to Loyola Hospital, where they are being treated for serious injuries.
