Illinois School District Launches Mobile App

D214 app is available for download through Google Play and iTunes

Parents of one Illinois school district can keep school news, contacts and a calendar in the palm of their hand.

Township High School District 214, in Chicago's northwest suburbs, has launched a mobile app that aims to keep students, staff and parents connected. In the event of closings or emergencies, the app can be used to deliver an alert.

"This new app provides even more transparency and even better communication with our entire community," Director of Technology Services Keith Bockwoldt said in a news release.

The app is available for download through Google Play and iTunes.
