The state of Illinois is participating in a nation-wide celebration of National Entrepreneurship Week, and Chicago Public Schools students are attending a workshop in preparation at the University of Illinois, Chicago (UIC) campus.

They are learning the role that technology plays in today's business world and about Business & Entrepreneurship programs offered by the College of Business at UIC.

The 2009 IIEE Young Entrepreneurs Conference will be held April 30 through May 2 at The Westin Hotel in Itasca, IL. IIEE believes that "in today's economy you will either work for an entrepreneur or become an entrepreneur, and it is reported by the Small Business Association that 80% to 90% of all new jobs are created by small businesses."

For additional information about The Illinois Institute for Entrepreneurship Education and the 2009 IIEE Young Entrepreneurs Conference call 312-587-9296, or visit www.iiee.org.
