Another sign of spring and summer has arrived in the Chicago area -- it's opening weekend at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee.

The amusement park opened for the 2011 season on Saturday.

Customers who buy tickets online for this weekend can get them for $19.81. That's to celebrate the year that the American Eagle roller coaster opened, in 1981.

Park officials say American Eagle is the tallest wooden roller coaster in the world.

The park closes for the year in October.
