Kevin White Released by Cardinals, Team Says

White, a former first round pick of the Bears, signed a free agent deal in March

Former Chicago Bears first round pick Kevin White signed a free agent contract with the Arizona Cardinals over the offseason, but his stay in the desert is already over, the team announced Wednesday.

White, who had been dealing with a hamstring injury, was officially released by the Cardinals just six months into his tenure with the team.

White was never able to tap into his potential with the Bears, appearing in a total of 14 games with the team over four seasons. He registered 25 catches and 285 yards and zero touchdowns after being taken with the seventh overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

The receiver signed a one-year contract with the Cardinals in March, which came with $400,000 in guaranteed money.
