One person was injured in a fire that broke out at a senior citizen apartment building in Forest Park, west of Chicago, late Friday night.

Firefighters called to The Linden House Apartments, on the 1000 block of Des Plaines Avenue, were able to keep the fire contained to one unit.

Residents who left the building just before midnight were seen going onto buses. One person was treated on the scene for a minor injury.

There was no information as of 5:30 a.m. as to what caused the fire.
